  Non parliamo di ricerca “paranoica” di sonorità alternative, elettroniche, o di un rock all’avanguardia mai sentito prima, ma semplicemente di ottima musica, quella del cuore, originale perchè pura non perchè diversa.

  La ricchezza sonora del gruppo canadese si manifesta ancora con l’utilizzo dei pomposi arrangiamenti e delle suntuose orchestrazioni che ne hanno fatto un marchio di fabbrica talmente singolare da appassionare addirittura anche alcuni illustri colleghi.

  Il gruppo purifica il codice espressivo, arricchendo la tavolozza musicale, ampliando i riferimenti e allo stesso tempo forgiando un suono nuovo e ben caratterizzato.

  ‘Neon Bible’ è un album complesso, eterogeneo, dal suono estremamente elaborato, capace di far convivere vocazioni orchestrali, arrangiamenti sontuosi ed approcci lo-fi.

  E’ forse presto per sbilanciarsi a tal punto, ma qualcosa mi dice che questo disco lascerà il segno anche negli anni a venire.

  Una volta però catturati da queste undici composizioni, sarà come essere sommersi dalla grazia e dalla bellezza della luce del mattino.

  Ancora una volta gli Arcade Fire hanno sfornato una lavoro difficile da etichettare, unico nel suo genere e dall’ascolto leggermente ostico. Mentre il predecessore conquistava immediatamente, a questo disco servono più ascolti.

  La promessa che viene dal Canada è già una realtà, e Neon Bible è un disco ambizioso e felicemente ispirato.

  gli Arcade Fire sono diventati più maturi e consapevoli, riuscendo a tirar fuori un secondo disco che, nel valore dei singoli elementi, se la gioca con l’ingombrante predecessore.

  La musica di questo Neon Bible è la cosa più prevedibile della Terra dopo la vittoria dello scudetto dell’Inter: un canovaccio immutato che regala il suo prodotto come un dentifricio che fuoriesce da un tubetto spremuto.
