  Fiction è idea ed applicazione, passato e futuro, evoluzione e continuità che, al di là di metafore più o meno pesanti, più o meno condivisibili, merita obbligatoriamente l’attenzione ed il rispetto di chiunque. Da avere e venerare.

• Iced Tears
  I Dark Tranquillity hanno saputo contribuire a una certa continuità di produzione a livelli alti che li competono appieno.

  Non c’è alcun dubbio, con Fiction i Dark Tranquillity raggiungono l’apice di un’intera carriera, che dopo un percorso progettuale infallibile, e album sempre validi, ha portato a risultati invidiabili. Senza mai perdere di vista le proprie radici, trovano il perfetto compromesso tra sperimentazione e potenza. Un giudizio? Imperdibile.

  Le canzoni contenute in questo lavoro sono superiori ad una buona percentuale del materiale metallico d’oggigiorno e dominano completamente la decrepita scena melo-death.

  In una scene sonnecchiante come quella death melodico, dove l’innovazione più grande pare la capacità di prendere ispirazione (copiare) dal passato, questo Fiction arriva come la manna dal cielo.

  Fiction non è troppo diverso dal predecessore ed è certamente poco ambizioso, ma differisce, ne è la continuazione ed evoluzione verso sonorità (relativamente) moderne con un riagganciamento ad un lato più melodico.
