  Forse la grande, grandissima pecca di questo disco è di essere “troppo denso”, forse manca una distinzione netta tra un pezzo e l’altro e questo crea un fastidioso effetto di “ne capo, ne coda”

  Un lavoro che da “The Pig Keepers Daughter” alla title-track rischia di collassare su sè stesso, oppure di far collassare l’ascoltatore, anche se ogni tanto risulta manieristicamente estremo.

  Capacità tecniche impressionanti, riff ipercinetici, rapidissimi e deliranti cambi di marcia, senso di pazzia imperante: PsyOpus è sinonimo di pandemonio finemente strutturato, fin nei minimi dettagli, con maniacale dedizione.

  Ostici e cervellotici fino allo sfinimento, riuscire a seguire la (inesistente) linea logica dei loro isterici monologhi è un’impresa erculea.

  Questo album o lo capite e ve ne innamorate, oppure lo riterrete un concentrato di “cose” buttate là in qualche modo.

  Se siete amanti di queste sonorità consigliamo sicuramente la band, anche se avrete sentito di meglio. Per tutti gli altri quella del quartetto americano sarà un’esperienza dolorosa e snervante.
